Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. (a complete I.T. Solutions Company, listed on NSE, BSE and Bangalore Stock Exchange) today announced that it has received its first milestone payment from Thailand against the software development contracts signed by it for the VAT and SBT systems, for the Revenue Department of the Royal Government of Thailand.

VISESH INFOTECNICS LTD. GETS LARGE DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT FROM THAILAND

The Joint Venture Company of Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. in Thailand has been awarded the Software Development contracts for Value Added Tax (VAT) and Special Business Tax (SBT) of the Revenue Department of the Royal Government of Thailand. The value of these contracts is 36.27 million Thai Baht (approx. Rs. 4.1 Crore). These contracts are being executed by Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. for its Thai JV Company, Opentech Thai Network Specialists Ltd. (OTNS) at Bangkok, Thailand.

The VAT & SBT applications have to run on IBM Mainframe System (Z-Series 390) with a network of 26 distributed servers across 26 Provinces across Thailand. The system design is being carried out in Rational Rose while the development will be done on IBM Websphere Application Server in a Java/J2EE environment. The projects are to be completed within 10 months and are being undertaken on an off-shore and on-site basis by Visesh.

Visesh has already met the first milestone for the Project as scheduled and received its first payment for the same on the 4th of September, 2003. The successful completion of the VAT & SBT Projects is expected to help Visesh carve an undisputed niche for itself in the Thai market and also mark a significant entry into the Government Sector.
